Last month I was part of a panel discussion for a Social Media Club Chicago event alongside Leslie Banks and Drew Metherd from Morningstar, Inc. The topic of the event was centered around how companies in the financial space are using social media — some of the challenges we face specifically in this industry.
In case you’re unfamiliar with Morningstar, the company is an independent research and analysis firm that provides data on stocks, mutual funds and several other types of investments. Joe Mansueto started Morningstar in Chicago back in 1984 and also owns Inc. and Fast Company magazines. The space was amazing and I was honored to be a part of this event.
Jeff Willinger served as a great moderator and Barbara Rozgonyi did a fantastic job with the organization of the whole event. The members who showed up to see the panel were also a delight. If you have a few moments — feel free to check out the video.
