Social Media Club Chicago
I’ll be on a panel as a guest of the Chicago chapter of the Social Media Club next Thursday, February 22, 2010.
The topic is How Social Media Makes Financial Sense and will be dedicated to exploring the special needs and considerations of integrating social media communications into companies operating in the financial sector. I’m pretty excited to be on a panel with Kunal Kapoor and Leslie Banks from Morningstar, Inc. at the Morningstar headquarters in downtown Chicago.
Seattle PR + MKTG Camp
After a quick weekend trip to my hometown, Detroit, I’ll be back in Seattle participating in the Seattle PR + MKTG Camp as a moderator. I’ll be paired up with Tom Biro during the 10:30 a.m. session titled, Impact and Strategy: Aligning PR and Marketing.
If you’re planning to attend either event, please let me know so I can be sure to look for you when I’m there. If you attend either of these events and we haven’t met in person before, please definitely say hello. If we HAVE met before and you attend either of these events, say hello anyway… please. :-)

Oh, that was such a good time, Shan – it is just WRONG that I haven’t seen you in so long. We need to get you to DC… or me to Seattle!

This picture of the three of us always makes me smile even though my eyes are closed.
So are we finally getting around to the financial sector? A sector that is quietly adopting a lot of SM tools while others just sit and pontificate about SM on twitter I might add!
Wow, looks like you’ll be picking up some miles in the next few weeks. Hope all goes well. Let us know next time you make it to NY.
